Thalía

Thalía is the stage name of Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda. She was born on August 26, 1971 in Mexico City, Mexico to parents Ernesto Sodi Pallares and Yolanda Miranda Mange. By the time she was one year old, she had already appeared on television in a soft drink advertisement. In 1986 she became a member of a successful band Timbiriche, taking the place of the popular Sasha Sokol. In 1987 she achieved success with Timbiriche, recording four albums. She appeared in magazines, and was the winner of a fitness contest. Then she left the group “Timbiriche” in order to follow a career as solo artist. From 1990 -2000 she released several albums in her native Spanish. These include Thalía, Mundo de Cristal, Love, En éxtasis and Arrasando. She then released her English debut entitled “Thalia” in 2003. The album went straight to number one, spending five consecutive weeks at Billboard’s Top Latin Album Chart and Top Latin Pop Albums.Thalía has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.Thalia has since sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and her soap operas have been watched the world over. She is currently married to music executive Tommy Mottola, the ex-husband of Mariah Carey.

Lil Jon

Lil Jon is the stage name of Jonathan Mortimer Smith, American composer, producer, promoter, and rapper. He was born on January 27, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia. Lil Jon has released several albums with the East Side boyz. Their discography includes Get Crunk, Who U Wit: Da Album in 1997, Certified Crunk
in 1999, We Still Crunk!! in 2000, Put Yo Hood Up in 2001, Kings of Crunk in 2002, Part II in 2003 and Crunk Juice in 2004. In 2009, Lil Jon is scheduled to release his debut solo album entitled Crunk Rock. Crunk Rock features the hit single “Snap Yo Fingers”, featuring E-40 and Sean Paul of the YoungBloodZ. The second single is called “Act a Fool”, featuring Three 6 Mafia. Numerous artists were “lined up” to guest on the album, including P.O.D., Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, Kid Rock, Ciara, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, R. Kelly, Remy Ma, Lil Wayne, T.I., The Game, Gucci Mane, Fabo from D4L, Three 6 Mafia, and T-Pain. Over the course of his career, Lil Jon has starred in various televison shows and movies which include Soul Plane, Hip-Hop Honeys: Las Vegas, Date Movie, Smoke And Mirrors and Scary Movie 4.

Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace is a grunge band that originally formed as Groundswell in Toronto, Canada in 1992. The band consist of Adam Gontier on vocals, Neil Sanderson on drums, Brad Walst on bass guitar and Barry Stock on lead guitar. In 1997, members Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, and Brad Walst united again to continue their musical work together. Originally a cover band, the trio renamed the band Three Days Grace. In 2003, they released their self titled debut album. The lead single I Hate (Everything About You) went to number one in Canada and to the top ten of the US and world modern rock charts in 2003. The second single Just Like You also went to the top of the Canadian singles charts. Three Days Grace then released their sophomore album on June 13, 2006. It was titled One-X and has since sold over a million copies in the United States and earning a platinum certification. It spawned four singles; “Pain”
,”Animal I Have Become”, “Never Too Late” and “Riot”. According to the RIAA, Three Days Grace has sold over six million copies to date. They are currently
working on their latest album due to be released in 2009.

Lil Mama

Lil Mama is the stage name of Niatia Jessica Kirkland. She was born on October 4, 1989 in Harlem, New York. She was the youngest of seven siblings and later raised in Brooklyn, New York. Joining her father’s label, she traveled to Atlanta in 2006 to work exclusively with producer James “Groove” Chambers, who helped construct the “Lip Gloss” single. After Lil Mama did some impressive maneuvering to get her music heard, New York’s flagship hip-hop/R&B station Hot 97 began playing the single constantly. She then started her proffessional career when she was nineteen years old releasing her debut album, VYP (Voice of the Young People). It hit the stores on April 29,2008 and debuted at number 25 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling about 19,000 copies in its first week. Its first single was “Lip Gloss”. Its second single was “G-Slide (Tour Bus)”. The third single, “Shawty Get Loose” features Chris Brown and T-Pain. Tara Kirkland, Lil’ Mama’s mother, died on December 15, 2007 after a four-year battle with cancer. Lil Mama received the news while on tour and had to rush back home. The music video of “Shawty Get Loose” was dedicated to her memory.
